When will Apple release iOS 17.4?
Apple is in the final stages of testing iOS 17.4, an update that will take iPhone to the next level of performance and functionality. From entertainment to major changes in security, iOS 17.4 will bring major improvements to our user experience. But when will it be available for everyone? Here’s what we know.
Possible release dates for iOS 17.4
During the month-long testing period of the iOS 17.4 beta, we witnessed how Apple expanded the features and functionality of its operating system in several areas.
Initially, the beta set the stage for three major new features: support for third-party app stores in the EU, the arrival of RCS in the Messages app, and next-generation CarPlay.
Subsequently, a number of new features were revealed, such as Quantum Security in iMessage, improvements to stolen device protection, transcriptions in Apple Podcasts, changes to the iPhone Battery Health menu, and more.
All of these updates together make iOS 17.4 a release full of major innovations that will fundamentally change our iPhones and their functionality. What’s coming soon: iOS 17.4 should be available to all users on or before March 6, 2024.
According to 9to5mac, this expected release date (usually the second half of March) is to comply with the March 6 deadline set by the EU’s Digital Marketplace Act. Since Apple is currently working on the fourth beta of iOS 17.4, it’s likely that the release candidate will be released this week, with the official release likely to take place between March 4th and 6th.
So, we are almost there. Soon we’ll be able to enjoy all the new features that iOS 17.4 brings to further improve our iPhone experience.
