How to send photos in pristine quality via WhatsApp
Traditionally, WhatsApp compresses the quality of all the photos we send through the service. This is usually not very important, but it becomes important when we need to send photos in pristine quality. For some time now, WhatsApp has introduced a new text format so that we can customize our messages and we can send photos through the Facebook app without losing quality or resolution. Let’s see how.
Send files without losing quality
If we need to share an image or video file with maximum fidelity (i.e. without the usual compression), WhatsApp offers us a very simple and effective solution. The process is as follows:
Open the WhatsApp application on our iPhone.
Type a conversation or create a new one.
Tap the “+” button to the left of the text field.
Click on the document and choose to select a photo or video.
Select the file we want to send, remembering that it must be less than 2GB.
Press the Send button.
With this, we will be able to send large files while keeping their original resolution intact. However, one aspect to consider is that when sending files in this way, a preview of the multimedia content will not be displayed in the chat window. To view the content we send, the recipient must save or open the content.
The ability to send images and videos in pristine quality through WhatsApp is a significant advancement that significantly increases the possibilities of the app. Apps such as Apple’s Messages or Telegram already offer some of these features, but now the Facebook-owned app also offers them. A way to send photos and videos without the slightest compromise in quality.
